The session will take place on 20 February, 12:30–13:30 local time (08:00–09:00 CET) and will focus on how trustworthy AI can be developed, governed, and implemented in private and public sectors and across society. The program addresses safety, accountability, sustainability, and governance as practical challenges in real-world AI systems.
The session will consist of opening remarks given by representatives from TRUST Partners – The Norwegian Digitalisation Agency (Digdir), The Norwegian Institute for International affairs (NUPI), Kongsberg Maritime and the University of Oslo. The opening remarks will be followed by a moderated panel discussion with representatives from around the world.
“Many people have contributed, but we are particularly thankful to our partner Digdir for their hard work and committed support making this happen”, says TRUST co-director Morten Dæhlen. We will also use the opportunity to thank the Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi for their enthusiastic support during the process, and last, but not least, we are grateful to Minister Karianne Tung for her support and active presence at the event. Political leadership is of crucial importance in the development and governance of trustworthy AI, now and in the future», Dæhlen says.
