Research, Innovation and Societal Impact
TRUST’s research lays the foundations for trustworthy AI — technology that is accurate, interpretable, inclusive, fair, safe, sustainable and democratically governed. The work is organised around three interconnected pillars:
Scientific Objectives define what trustworthy AI should be.
Research Areas explore key challenges and opportunities to reach these goals.
Action Clusters bring TRUST together with partners in research, industry, government and civil society to test ideas and create real-world impact.
Through this structure, TRUST combines deep scientific research with practical innovation. From supporting the green transition and improving healthcare to strengthening AI governance and public trust, the centre’s work ensures that new AI technologies contribute to societal well-being, sustainability and human flourishing.
